In many European countries, violent radicalisation has become an increasing issue, in particular among younger groups of populations. There is more and more media coverage of extremist or violent incidents that often come with open questions as to whether there had been signs or hints before or whether these incidents could have been prevented by immediate surroundings or society in general.
DIVE IN aims at supporting local actors working particularly with young people by enhancing their knowledge and capacity to prevent and counter radicalisation (with a specific pragmatic focus on violent radicalisation).
DIVE IN produces innovative and specific training material, provides learners with tailored training that offer them “life learning scenarios” and an online cooperation hub for local actors, open also to other EU Member States, sharing lessons learnt and giving room for common prevention projects building on respective knowledge achieved.

The ARIADNEplus project is the extension of the previous ARIADNE Integrating Activity, which successfully integrated archaeological data infrastructures in Europe, indexing in its registry about 2.000.000 datasets (ARIADNE portal). The new enlarged partnership of ARIADNEplus covers all of Europe extending and supporting the research community that the previous project created. The ARIADNEplus data infrastructure will be embedded in a cloud that will offer the availability of Virtual Research Environments where data-based archaeological research may be carried out. The project will furthermore develop a Linked Data approach to data discovery, making available to users innovative services, such as visualization, annotation, text mining and geo-temporal data management. Innovative pilots will be developed to test and demonstrate the innovation potential of the ARIADNEplus approach.

Making archaeological data open and freely accessible is a priority across Europe, but the domain lacks appropriate, persistent repositories. Due to the fragility of digital data and non-repeatable nature of most archaeological research, the domain is poised to lose a generation of research to the Digital Dark Age. SEADDA will be vital for establishing a priority research area in the archiving, dissemination and open access re-use of archaeological data, and includes proposers from 26 COST and four international partner countries. It will bring together an interdisciplinary network of archaeologists and computer scientists; experts in archaeological data management and open data dissemination and re-use. It will create publications and materials that will set out the state of the art for archaeological archiving across Europe and recommendations to mitigate the crisis. It will organise meetings and training to share knowledge and create dialogue within and between each participant country.
