The course objectives is to study the efficiency of networking technologies in cultural environments, the presentation of critical quality of service issues in networks providing digitall cultural services and the presentation of specific service scenarios in various cultural environments. Students through the course will come into contact with a new efficient management philosophy and diffusion of cultural goods and services through the Web. The following concepts are discussed during the course: Basic concepts , quality of service issues, multimedia networks and multimedia cultural services in a network environment. Fast processing and distribution of multimedia content in a networked environment. Reliability in service delivery across heterogeneous and dynamic network environments. Threats, secure and trustworthy provision of digital cultural services. Entrepreneurship concepts, service charge, design of an intelligent system for art auctions. Development of information systems that offer management and dissemination services in different cultural environments (collaborative environments for the creation and dissemination of works of art, guiding services with smartphones, archaeological excavations).
