The Summer School of Greek Language, History and Culture of the Ionian University is aimed at young people from the Greek diaspora, and generally to people, who wish to gain an introduction to, or deepen their knowledge of the Greek language and culture.
The courses will be held at the Ionian University in Corfu, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, and will take place over the two weeks from 1 to 14 July 2019. There will be 60 teaching hours in total. Teachers will be academics from the Ionian University and special associates coming mainly from the academic field. The weekly program of the Summer School will include lectures on the Greek language, history and culture, guided tours of the island’s cultural attractions, singing, dance and cooking experiential activities, and excursions. The Summer School fees amount up to 950€. The fees include the following: lectures and experiential activities, accommodation, two meals (breakfast and lunch), excursions, visits to museums and archaeological sites.
